We're delighted to announce our latest partnership with Rufford Abbey Country Estate. The announcement comes following a series of successful collaborations between Attractions.io and national heritage sites like Rufford Abbey and Nottingham Castle, that have reinforced the power of mobile apps to connect today's digitally native visitors with treasured historic landmarks.

Set in the heart of Robin Hood country, Rufford Abbey Country Park is steeped in over 850 years of history. At the park's heart lies the 12th-century Cistercian monastery and the site also boasts an array of outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy, from archery and adventure golf to interactive walking routes. The estate's management team wanted to highlight the incredible range of activities on offer and encourage younger, tech-focused guests to learn more about the site's impressive history. In adopting a guest-facing mobile app, they've found a solution that does both.

Rufford Abbey's new app solution includes interactive wayfinding, day planning and a native CMS system that enables the park’s marketing team to communicate with guests in real-time. The team at Rufford Abbey plans to use this capability in conjunction with Attractions.io’s new segmentation tools to promote relevant events and facilities to guests based on their visit history, and group characteristics.

Kirsty Edwards, Contract Manager at Rufford Abbey Country Estate, said:

"The app is interactive and informative, and as it is incredibly easy to use, guests have responded positively to the new way of moving around the site and being able to plan their day with us in advance.
Digital technology is so important, with it being a huge part of people's daily lives. Thanks to the app, we can reach new audiences that might not have been interested in heritage attractions from the outset. We are excited to evolve the service and make it as fun and interactive for our guests as possible!"

Eddy Whittaker, Head of Customer Success at Attractions.io, added:

"Rufford Abbey is a fantastic example of how mobile app technology compliments heritage attractions and enhances the immersive and educational experience they offer. The app creates a unique opportunity for Rufford Abbey to share its history in an entertaining and accessible way. Using the data and insight the app provides, the team can tailor their story to appeal to every guest, putting them at the very heart of the experience.
We're looking forward to working closely with the Rufford team over the coming months to bring their activities and history to life through the app.
