Twycross Zoo have launched a brand new mobile app for guests, powered by the Attractions.io platform.
The zoo, set in 80 acres of beautiful rural countryside in the heart of England, boasts almost 100 different species and has one of the largest collections of primates in Europe, including gibbons and chimpanzees.
Following the launch of the app, the attraction has stopped printing their traditional paper maps in favour of the app, and are asking visitors to make their mark on sustainability through a new campaign.
The app's interactive map uses GPS to display the exact location of guests in real-time, and visitors can plot the quickest route from A to B in a tap.
Karen Clarke, Chief Operating Officer at Twycross Zoo, is delighted with the app: "Our aim was to launch a mobile app that puts everything you need to have a great day at your fingertips, whether it's up-coming talk schedules or information on our essential conservation work.
"By going digital-first and replacing our paper maps with an interactive version, we're proud to be making further strides in protecting our environment and reducing our carbon footprint."
As well as maps, the app helps guests to plan their day and provides access to exclusive offers. Meanwhile, Twycross Zoo can trigger highly-targeted messages to guests based on their location and behaviour.
Mark Locker, Attractions.io CEO, added: "We're incredibly pleased to be helping Twycross Zoo better serve their customers. It's a privilege to work with an organisation who are leading by example on the environmental challenges of today."
