Top North American Zoos turn to Attractions.io and Cinchio Solutions for their mobile app platforms

Detroit Zoo, Brookfield Zoo Chicago, and Toronto Zoo launched their mobile apps just in time for the summer, benefiting from local support from our US partner, Cinchio Solutions.

The Attractions.io’s mobile app platform helps zoos and wildlife attractions create a connected digital experience that promotes learning, drives revisitation, and increases membership sales. With an impressive portfolio of zoos using our platform already—including San Diego Zoo, Columbus Zoo and Zoo Tampa— we recently partnered with Cinchio Solutions to offer additional support to the North American market.

The collaboration has proven to be a winning combination, with three of North America’s top-rated zoos launching their new mobile app platforms ahead of the summer season. Detroit Zoo, Brookfield Zoo Chicago and Toronto Zoo are now equipped with state-of-the-art mobile apps that enhance visitor engagement, drive guest satisfaction, and streamline operations.

A winning combination

Designed to meet the evolving needs of today's zoo guests, the apps connect each touchpoint guests encounter during their visit, ensuring they always have access to essential information, interactive maps, real-time updates, and personalised recommendations for their visit. Ted Ismert, COO of Attractions.io said:

  • Real-time updates: Instant notifications about feeding times, special events, and exhibit closures, ensure guests are always informed.
  • Personalised experiences: Customisable itineraries and recommendations based on visitors' preferences or interests help tailor their experience and drive spending.
  • Educational content: Each animal has its own info card that shares information about its habitat, behaviours, and the zoo’s conservation efforts to foster a deeper connection to the zoo's mission.

Guests at the Detroit Zoo can also enjoy an integrated mobile food ordering experience that connects the Attractions.io app platform with Cinchio Eat.

One of the success stories of this partnership is the localised support and dedicated US account management provided by the Cinchio team.
