ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure attracts families to its 85 acres of woodland with immersive attractions and character-led storytelling. As the park prepared for its most ambitious expansion to date, the team wanted to strengthen the digital foundations of their guest experience and create tools that bridge the gap between the natural world and the fantasy of Norfolk’s pre-historic woodlands.

ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure delivers a family day out with a difference. When guests arrive, they become explorers on a mission to uncover the last remaining dinosaurs in Norfolk’s ancient woodlands. Bringing that fantasy to life requires creativity and a digital infrastructure strong enough to support future innovation, including one of the most ambitious AR expansion plans in the industry.

A connected guest journey that blends story, planning and adventure

ROARR!’s app includes Attractions.io’s core feature set, giving families tools to plan their day, navigate the park and discover attractions at their own pace. Parents can build itineraries, browse showtimes and order food in advance, while children can immerse themselves in ROARR!’s storyline and meet hero characters before they even step through the gates.

Once on-site, the team uses direct messaging to enhance the experience in real time. Guests might receive a tip about a quiet moment at a popular attraction, a reminder about a favourited show or updates about themed dining experiences.

Post-visit, the app helps the marketing team stay connected with families through push notifications and content designed to build long-term loyalty.

An immersive experience that bring the prehistoric world to life

ROARR! is already pushing ahead with its next digital milestone. The new themed land, Valley of the Dinosaurs, will invite guests to take on interactive challenges through the Attractions.io app, working alongside ROARR!’s hero adventurer to uncover clues and explore the environment.

This experience is being developed in collaboration with Zappar and will blend animated AR dinosaurs delivered through the app with the animatronics that first put ROARR! on the map.

ROARR! also uses the app to bring seasonal moments to life, updating maps, content and experiences for special events such as Christmas and school holidays. This allows the park to extend its storytelling throughout the year, creating immersive, timely experiences that evolve alongside the guest journey.
