Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is one of Florida's best-loved cultural attractions. The center offers bus tours of the spaceport, interactive exhibits, and displays featuring artifacts from space missions. Making it the ideal place for budding astronauts to see their dreams come to life.
Given Kennedy Space Center's reputation for breaking technological barriers, the Visitor Complex strives to offer its guests a seamless, innovative experience during their visit. But keeping pace with their ever-evolving expectations isn't easy. When the complex's custom mobile application became too challenging to maintain, its operations team turned to the experience experts at Attractions.io for a solution.
Today, Attractions.io and Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex are proud to announce the launch of the new Kennedy Space Center experience platform.
The Attractions.io solution pairs the SaaS platform's mobile app with Connect, its powerful data console. Used side-by-side, they give the Visitor Complex both the tools and data it needs to optimize the guest experience and communicate with visitors in real-time.
Kennedy Space Visitor Complex uses the app as a hub for advertising launch events. Its marketing team provides prospective visitors with details of the latest launches, countdowns, and special events. Meanwhile, guest services leverage user insights to refine messaging and increase revenue through targeted messaging.
Guests also feel the impact on-site. They can find their way around the exhibits, launch pads, and other points of interest using Attractions.io's renowned wayfinding solution, which is optimized for on and offline use. This was especially important for the in-house team, given the size and complexity of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex campus, which spans over 70 acres.
"We're thrilled that Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the launch point for our latest partnership," said Mark Locker, CEO of Attractions.io. "The center is an iconic institution that has been pushing the boundaries of technology for over half a century. We're proud to contribute to this legacy and provide guests at their Visitor Complex with a digital companion that boosts their visit."
"We're excited to launch this new app and offer our guests an enhanced experience," said Therrin Protze, Chief Operating Officer of Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. "Kennedy Space Center complex is always looking for ways to innovate and stay ahead of the curve. Our app is one example of how we're pushing boundaries and continuing to inspire a generation of digital native space explorers."
Looking ahead, the Visitor Complex plans to expand the capabilities of its Attractions.io platform. A mobile wallet integration with Gateway that will allow guests to buy tickets, souvenirs, and other items from their devices will launch this summer.
